In Seattle for a conference. Was in the mood for late night Filipino food. This place came up in my search. Drove over and had to drop off my brother to order the food. Parking is almost impossible.
We ordered three rice dishes, tocino, tapa, and adobo. We did take out and brought it back to the hotel. The adobo was the best, the meat was moist and flavorful. The best part was the rice was soaked in the sauce.
We will go again. -

Not impressed but it's a cool little hole in the wall. I wanted the cheese lumpia and they couldn't execute it and the lady at the window recommended I order something else... I went for the chicken lumpia. The meat inside needed more seasoning.
So just 3 stars for the Lumpia... I didn't get anything else so that's it. Thanks for whatevers -

I found this place walking through Capitol Hill--it is a building set up like a food truck. I am not sure how busy they get, but the food is excellent. When you arrive, the menu is on the right and then knock on window if they do not see you.
The food is Filipino--which is not very prevalent in Seattle. I ordered Lumpias--which are a sort of egg roll--and garlic rice with steak.
There are six options for the Lumpia--and then three choices for sauces. I ordered the chicken with sweet and sour sauce. They were so good. These are long and with thick skins and really delicious.
I had steak with the garlic rice. The steak is sliced thinly and seasoned really well. It goes great with the sticky rice that has just the right amount of garlic. The portion is just right for one person.
I will be back. -

Was in the Capitol Hill area after just flying in from SoCal/LA & was craving Filipino food (since I hadn't had it in 2 weeks). I was craving it badly & was excited to have it here-- the concept of the walk-up window with a Jeepney painting around it was so enticing! I looked it up on Yelp & my initial thought was that it was a food truck, so I thought "meh, nothing new"... but that was a nice realization! So I ordered & waited about 10 mins til I got my order so I can eat back at my friend's place, as clearly there is no seating, which I'm absolutely fine with.
Now, about the food-- I ordered the Tapa Rice Bowl which came with white rice, sautéed onions & red bells, thinly sliced beef (almost like thick brisket from a KBBQ spot), and garnished with cucumber, jalapeño (interesting add), & length-cut green onions. The bowl it comes in isn't one I've ever thought to eat a "rice bowl" from... it's the tall paper type where other Asian to-go restaurants usually put soup in.
The taste of everything together was fine, but not delicious. The crucial part of why I had to review this so low was because of the rice. My first bite already knew that something wasn't right. The rice was entirely undercooked. I took a couple more bites thinking maybe it was just a bad section, but unfortunately, half-way thru the bowl (yes, I kept eating! I was already so hungry!) it was still the same. Disappointing, but since I was banking on this to feed my craving, I just ate through it.
I'd like to come back & try maybe the Tocino Rice Bowl or their poutine-esque options, but will definitely be pointing out the undercooked rice to them in hopes that this experience doesn't repeat itself.
**no pics provided of actual food, as I was busy being hungry, lol** -

1 Star for the creative concept
1 Star for the enthusiastic service
1 Star for the decent pricing
1 Star for the flavor/execution in good texture+yumminess!
I must admit. I was attracted by the colorful outlook & concept. But then skeptical & lowered my expectations when I saw the word, "Filipino" misspelled. LOL. Came here because we love Pie Bar (across the street). However, my boyfriend were very impressed & satisfied with the tocino sliders! Would be back if in the area.
